공간 컨셉 _절반(Half)의 미학

하프 가든(Half Garden)은 하나의 공간에서 과거의 향수를 불러일으키는 옛것과 현대적이고 독특한 분위기를 연출하는 새것이 매끄럽게 조화를 이루는 독특하고 흥미로운 공간입니다. 디자인 컨셉은 과거와 현재의 경계를 만드는 데 사용되는 "절반"의 기하학적 모양을 중심으로 합니다.

 

The Half Garden is a unique and exciting space that seamlessly blends the nostalgic old and the new to create a modern, unique atmosphere in one space. The design concept revolves around the "half" geometric shapes used to create the boundaries between the past and the present.

과거와 현재가 만들어내는 대조와 갈등

 이 공간은 조용하고 사색적으로 설계되었으며, 외부 세계와 내부 사이의 완충 역할을 하는 안뜰이 있습니다. 열린 공간과 반만 열린 공간의 사용은 매장의 서로 다른 영역 간의 섬세한 관계를 반영하여 공간의 전반적인 미학을 더합니다. 안뜰을 통해서 바라보는 하프 가든(Half Garden)의 상부층은 여느 집에서 볼 수 있는 빨래를 말리기 위해 옷들이 널려있는 소박한 일반 가정집의 일상적인 옛 모습을 볼 수 있습니다. 한편, 아래층의 하프 가든(Half Garden)은 전혀 어울릴 것 같지 않은  현대적이고 미니멀한 분위기의 상점으로 이루어져 있어 옛 것과 새로운 것 사이의 현저한 대조를 만들어내는데 이는 공간 내에서 강한 대조와 갈등을 만들어 내어 하프 가든(Half Garden)의 유니크한 공간 미학(절반(Half)의 미학)을 만들어내게 됩니다. 

 

The space is designed to be quiet and contemplative, with a courtyard that acts as a buffer between the outside world and the interior. The use of open and half-open spaces reflects the delicate relationship between the different areas of the store, adding to the overall aesthetics of the space. The upper level of the Half Garden, viewed through the courtyard, offers a glimpse of the everyday life of a simple ordinary family home, with clothes strewn across to dry the laundry that you would find in any other house. The Half Garden downstairs, on the other hand, is made up of modern, minimalist shops that don't seem to fit in at all, creating a striking contrast between the old and the new, creating strong contrasts and conflicts within the space, creating the unique spatial aesthetic of the Half Garden.

하프 가든의 깨끗하고 밝은 느낌의 화이트 톤은 공간 전체에서 지배적이어서 개방감과 공간감을 만듭니다. 또한 투명하고 단순하며 부드러운 다지인의 라인은 편안하고  아늑함을 선사합니다. 이에 반해 공간에 대조와 갈등감을 불러일으키는 절반(Half)의 기하학적인 형태의 차용과 흑백의 대조, 철재 강판 및 페인트의 사용은 과거와 현재의 경계를 은유적으로 표현하는 것 같습니다. 이러한 디자인 요소들은 전반적인 디자인에 깊이와 흥미를 더하여 하프 가든(Half Garden)을 진정으로 독특한 공간으로 사용자들의 기억에 남게 될 것입니다.

 

The clean, bright white tones of the half-garden dominate throughout the space, creating a sense of openness and space. In addition, transparent, simple, and soft lines of dodge make you feel comfortable and cozy. In contrast, the borrowing of geometric forms of Half and the contrast of black and white creates a sense of contrast and conflict in space, and the use of steel plates and paints seems to metaphorically express the boundary between past and present. These design elements add depth and interest to the overall design, making the Half Garden a truly unique space in users' memories.

디자인의 주요 색상으로 흑백을 사용하는 한 것은 현대 디자인에서 인기 있는 트렌드인 미니멀리즘에 대한 경의를 표하는 것이 아니었나 생각이 드는군요. 공간에 부드러움을 더하려는 의도로 사용된다고 생각했었던 아치형태, 당연히 아치 형태를 공간에서 극대화하기 위해서 골드색상의 금속을 사용하거나 여성스러운 웜톤의 컬러를 사용했을법한 디자인 요소를 이용해서 공간에 대비와 갈등감을 조성하여 공간을 재해석한 프로젝트이었던 것 같습니다. Black & White, 두 색상의 뚜렷한 대비는 공간 전체에 존재하는 대비와 갈등감을 더하여 하프 가든(Half Garden)과 지금까지의 다른 상업 공간의 차별화를 만들기에 충분했다고 생각이 드는군요.

 

I think the use of black and white as the main color of the design was a tribute to minimalism, a popular trend in modern design. The arch shape, which I thought was used to add softness to the space, and of course, it was a project that reinterpreted the space by creating a sense of contrast and conflict by using design elements that would have used gold-colored metal or feminine warm tones to maximize the arch shape in the space. Black & White, I think the stark contrast between the two colors was enough to differentiate Half Garden from other commercial spaces so far, adding to the sense of contrast and conflict that exists throughout the space.
